About this tool
Before you post a photo, answer four quick yes/no questions. Each answer tells you what the photo might give away, and points you to the tool that fixes it. Your answers stay on your device and nothing is saved.
How to use
- Open the checklist and look at the photo you plan to post.
- Answer yes or no: does it show a location, a face, a screen, or a timestamp?
- For each yes, follow the link: the EXIF Viewer shows location and time data, and Share-Safe Photo Check strips it and blurs faces or screens.
- Post the cleaned copy, not the original.
FAQ
Is my photo uploaded when I use the checklist?
No. The checklist asks four questions and does not take your photo. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.
Does the checklist check the photo for me?
No. It asks you four questions to help you think about what the photo shows. To look inside the file, use the EXIF Viewer or Share-Safe Photo Check.
Which question matters most?
Location and timestamp are the two most often overlooked. A photo taken at home can reveal where you live and when you are away.
