How to remove it

In Word: File → Info → Check for Issues → Inspect Document. In a PDF viewer: look for Properties or Sanitize. Then check the file again here. Photos hide data too: try Share-Safe Photo Check or the EXIF Viewer.

Names, company, edit time and dates stay inside a file when you share it. Real files often hold real names; this page shows them only to you.

Limits: PDFs that keep their info in compressed streams may show fewer fields than they hold. A clean result is not a guarantee. The file is read in memory and never leaves your browser; open your network tab to check.
